Watch world-class badminton all day
Lasse Kjær Hansen - 10/6/2018 10:32:18 AM

The order of play for Tuesday and Wednesday is now official and we will be looking forward to presenting world-class badminton from the first to the last match on the two first days of DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR.

Are you into badminton and do you love to watch the stars perform on the biggest stage? Then you will be thrilled to see the order of play for the first two days of DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR.

It all begins with the defending All England champions in mixed doubles Watanabe/Higoshina on Court 3 at 9.00 am. local time against He/Yue from China with a position as number 12 on the world ranking. After that, the world championships silver medalist Pusarla V. Sindhu (3) will face Beiwen Zhang who plays in Denmark for Vendsyssel and performed well as runner-up in VICTOR Korea Open last week.

It continues with big stars in live action as players like Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi, Chen Long, Saina Nehwal, Akane Yamaguchi, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen and the China Open winners Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup will enter the courts in Odense Sports Park.

In the evening you will have the chance to cheer for world champion Kento Momota, Lin Dan and Okuhara. And you will be able to watch some Danish players on their home court when Mia Blichfeldt tries to beat world champion Carolina Marin and Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus has to face last year’s winner in Odense Kidambi Srikanth.

If you thought we used all the glamour on the first day you have to think twice.

Because on Wednesday 17th October even more of the biggest badminton stars will enter the Main Hall for their first match in this World Tour Super 750 tournament.

In the morning, we start with Zhang Nan/Li Yinhui against Karandasuwardi/Susanto. To follow up that match the world champions in women’s doubles Matsumoto/Nagahara will meet Piek/Seinen and after that last year’s winner in women’s singles Rachanok Intanon are going to play against Scottish Kirsty Gilmour.

Through the afternoon first seeded Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong will get on court against the smasher Praveen Jordan and his partner Melati Oktvaianti. Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen are hoping for the crowd’s applause when they face Maas/Tabelling.

The Danes will conquer Odense Sports Park in the evening when Mads Conrad/Mads Kolding, Mathias Christiansen/Christinna Pedersen, Anders Antonsen, Rasmus Gemke and homeboy Viktor Axelsen all will play on Court 1.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR in Odense Sports Park from the 16-21 of October.
